France progress to the Euro 2016 final in Paris on Sunday. A pair of Antoine Griezmann strikes propelled Les Bleus on their way to a first major final in ten years.
Germany threatened throughout the game, but were kept at bay by some resolute French defending, a series of good saves from Hugo Lloris, and general bad luck.
All eyes will now be firmly on the Stade de France, as the home nation go out to try and capture their third European Championship title.
Hugo Lloris - 7
Some handy work in between the sticks, the pick of the bunch an athletic save with two minutes remaining.
Bacary Sagna - 7
A typically dependable showing from the City full-back.
Samuel Umtiti - 7
A sure-footed performance from a relatively inexperienced centre-half.
Laurent Koscielny - 6
Similarly to Umtiti, Koscielney was instrumental in keeping the Germans out. However, a few misplaced passes give the Arsenal star a 6.
Patrice Evra - 6
Evra continues to look tired in this tournament. Germany failed to exploit the veteran’s lack of pace.
Blaise Matuidi - 7
Matuidi has stood out as a consistent performer in the French midfield.
Paul Pogba - 8
Powerful and precise. Pogba delivered a fantastic cross towards Giroud before Griezmann poked home the second.
Dmitri Payet - 6
Surprisingly ineffectual, subbed after 70 minutes.
Moussa Sissoko - 7
Despite not offering much going forward, the big man helped to contain the German attack.
Antoine Griezmann - 8
Ice cold on his penalty, which he deserves plaudits for having missed in the Champions League Final. Good awareness on the second goal, as he anticipated the knock down of the cross.
Olivier Giroud - 6
Giroud never threatened the German defence. Released through on goal, his known lack of pace was exploited, and he failed to find an alternative.
Manuel Neuer - 6
Neuer pulled out some good saves, but failed to get a heavy enough punch of Pogba’s cross for the second French goal.
Josh Kimmich - 6
Struck the post with a shot, but regularly failed to take advantage of the space afforded to him.
Jerome Boateng - 7
Boateng cemented his reputation as a world class centre back. Calm and composed, Boateng never looked flustered. Subbed off after 61 minutes injured.
Benedikt Höwedes - 6
The Schalke defender matched up well with Boateng. Didn’t look as comfortable with Mustafi.
Jonas Hector - 6
Hector finished what was a good tournament. Speculation will now continue as to his team for the new season.
Emre Can - 6
The Liverpool midfielder threatened the goal early, but faded into relative obscurity after that.
Bastian Schweinsteiger - 5
Hurt his team with his first half handball. His arm didn’t need to be up in the air.
Toni Kroos - 6
Kroos delivered one enticing delivery after another, but just couldn’t get it on the money tonight.
Julian Draxler - 7
Draxler was one of the more exciting German players in the match. Running at Sagna regularly, the Wolfsburg wide-man was well contained by his opponent.
Mesut Özil
Some exciting moments as per usual, but no end product from the maestro this evening.
Thomas Müller
The FC Bayern forward never really got his chance tonight.
