Joe Hart and Jack Wilshere missed out on the trip to Russia when the preliminary squad was announced in May. However, there were surprise call-ups in Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Alexander-Arnold has joined the squad with Liverpool teammate Jordan Henderson after Southgate granted the duo extra time to recover from the Champions League Final on Saturday, May 26th.

A trio of Fabian Delph, Danny Rose and Ashley Young will also fly out to the world’s largest nation – along with goalkeeper, Nick Pope.

England face Tunisia in their opening match on Monday, 18th June and it will be the second World Cup meeting between the two countries. Goals from Alan Shearer and Paul Scholes gave Glenn Hoddle’s side a 2-0 victory at France ‘98.
