The FA have confirmed plans to lodge a bid to host the 2030 World Cup, according to the BBC.

England have not hosted a major tournament since 1996 when the European Championship were played in the country.

Following a successful World Cup campaign in Russia, ‘World Cup fever’ struck the nation, prompting calls for England to host the competition.

England had previously been hoping to land the 2018 World Cup itself but saw their bid for the competition fall short.
